Family Learning activities
We anticpate that family learning will be a growth area for the Community Chef project over the next few years.
Family Learning involves parents/carers learning alongside their children. Mike Spackman has delivered various successful family learning events on the Island including events at Cheyne Middle School, Rose Street PrimarySchool and at Standford Hill Prison.
Our most recent family learning event was delivered in partnership with Steve Chevis (Sheashells Dads’ Worker) and Kelly Walker (Community Cohesion Worker) on Saturday 24th January. Volunteer dads got involved in doing food demostrations to help inexperienced dads work alongside their own children to cook an omelette tortilla.
