Aims and Objectives

Aims and objectives for the project are as follows.

Aims

To increase cooking confidence and food preparation methods, and to promote dietary changes in line with the Choosing a Better Diet dietary objectives:

Increase fruit and vegetable. consumption to at least 5 portions a day.

Increase the average intake of dietary fibre.

Reduce the average intake of saturated fat.

Reduce the average intake of added sugar.

Objectives

To set up Food Partnership.

To recruit a community chef to work on the Isle of Sheppey.

For the community chef to run a minimum of ten cookery courses.

To run a series of facilitation courses for volunteers and provide support.

To produce a recipe resource to be shared with the community.
